Creating Tomorrow's Correctional Healthcare Leaders
With the dynamic growth of both Correctional Medical Services, Inc. (CMS) and the correctional healthcare industry, CMS offers a variety of site, regional and corporate management job opportunities.
Enjoy career growth.
- Qualified
professionals are placed in a wide array of management positions, including our
Health Services Administrator position. This position is a highly visible
position as the Chief On-Site Administrator for a CMS medical unit. Individuals
in this role oversee the delivery of contracted healthcare services and work
closely with on-site client representatives.
- CMS puts a high priority on filling management positions internally. In fact, 80% of our Regional Managers were promoted from within the company. Often, they served as CMS Health Service Administrators (HSA), who are responsible for the delivery of comprehensive contract services, including personnel selection/retention, budgeting, and coordinating care with internal and external resources.
- Some new healthcare management personnel are selected to participate in the innovative Fast Track management training program, a program designed to initiate candidates into CMS culture, programs and processes. Initially, the employee will spend time at CMS’ St. Louis headquarters learning the role of all corporate office departments—then traveling to a variety of CMS contract sites to gain an in-depth understanding of the company, the responsibilities of regional management, and hands-on experience in all aspects of field operations.
Take advantage of professional growth and development opportunities.
- We offer extensive training programs to prepare our managers for success in the correctional environment.
- Programs include our Correctional Healthcare Manager certification program, 12 hours of WebEx/Conference Call training, a 40-hr intensive training at corporate headquarters, and a 80-hour mentorship program to assist in the transition to managerial positions.
Enjoy a positive work environment and contribute to the correctional healthcare industry.
- As a CMS manager, you will enjoy a good balance of autonomy and support.
- You will have decision-making latitude to make a real difference in the lives of patients and the people who work for you.
- At the same time, CMS has the systems and processes in place to ensure support is never more than a phone call away.
