CMS Hosts Successful Annual Management Meeting

Operational leaders share best practices and salute top company performers

CMS managers accept awards during the  company's annual Management Meeting  in St. Louis.

Correctional Medical Services, Inc. (CMS) is pleased to report the success of its annual Management Meeting May 13- 14 at the company’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis.

Key field managers and operational leaders were in attendance at the event, designed to provide business updates and highlight company best practices.

"Our annual Management Meeting provides a unique opportunity for our entire operational leadership team across 18 states to connect with one another and senior corporate management," said Chief Executive Officer Richard Miles. "CMS’ extensive corporate and field support structure sets us apart in the industry, and this is just one example of how we facilitate access to those resources and promote excellence in correctional healthcare."

The two-day session offered multiple opportunities for field managers to share insights with one another and attend corporate briefings on topics such as medical affairs, clinical initiatives, business development, financials and human resources programs.

The meeting also featured the reintroduction of CMS’ popular company-wide awards program, created to honor outstanding work by team members across the country. The company highlighted exceptional performance in nearly a dozen categories and announced winners during a special awards luncheon ceremony.

"The awards ceremony was very touching because we were able to hear the successes of everyone around the company and see everyone energized and appreciated for their accomplishments," said CMS Regional ‘Manager of the Year’ Winner Levin Jones. "I felt pretty humbled to win the award, but this is not just about me. It’s about everyone in my area – the administrators, the directors of nursing, the physicians and nurses, the administrative assistants, the corporate support staff and everyone in between. This is a team effort and it’s great to be recognized."
